Part No for SC belt tensioner

Some how the tensioner for the SC on my car decided to fall off. This is the piece that lets you slowly adjust how tight to make the SC belt before locking it in place with that another bolt. Does anyone have the JR part number for this part thats missing? [img]frown.gif[/img]



sorry for the really poor picture, the adjuster is supposed to push down on that dimple the red arrow points to. I was just gonna buy this from Mossmotors, is there a better place to get parts from? thanks in advance. [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img]

also got to buy a SC support bracket too, noticed the manifold is cracking this week [img]frown.gif[/img]

i got a supercharger support bracket that i couldnt use with my kit

it's for a b18c1 JRSC, not sure about other applciations.

part number 988-043.

In the meantime while you're getting your tensioner, make sure the 12mm (i believe) bolts are tight that hold the arm of the tensioner on. I've noticed on a couple occasions that my tensioner also comes loose. You just have to tighten it about a half turn past hand-tight, and it should hold it in place.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">This will fit a B18C1 GSR JRSC? How come you couldn't use it with your kit? Curious, I don't want to buy a part and find it it doesn't fit either.

Part # 988-100 Tensioner Assy, Upper.

Also, S/C Support Braket:
Part# 988-043
fits +94 Gsr and the 99-00 Civic Si. Not sure if it fits other applications.

I have a old kit that doesnt use that part I guess. And I bought it for my GSR, so yeah it works for a b18c gsr.

I also have the OLD JRSC kit for the GSR that never came with the support bracket. Does anyone know if this means I cannot even put the bracket on if I got it like gsrteggie [img]frown.gif[/img]

There are TWO different blower support bracket assemblies: One that retro-fits early kits that did not come with a bracket originally, and one that is sent with the current kits. They differ in that the early kit has a "L" bracket that bolts to the lower block area whereas the newer style bracket bolts directly to the lower alternator bracket assembly.

thanks gsrteggie and JRCivic, you saved me some money and a lot of swearing. Maybe I can take a look under and make something to copy the bracket, I e-mailed mossmotors but no reply so far. Maybe I should give them a call.
